“Water for Life” - Inter-Varsity Entrepreneurship Challenge 2015 at Singapore (TEMG4950P)

18 students from Dual Degree Program in Technology & Management (T&M DDP) flew to Singapore to join students from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Renaissance Engineering Programme and University of California, Berkeley, to work on “Water for Life” startup businesses from 30 May to 8 June 2015. Students worked in cross-culture and multi-discipline teams to develop and present business plans to a panel of esteemed industry experts.

RMBI Student won the Champion of the Hong Kong Outstanding Business Students Award 2015

Charles Wong, Risk Management & Business Intelligence Program (RMBI) Year 2 student, won the Champion of the Hong Kong Outstanding Business Students Award 2015 on 24 May 2015 among 9 finalists each from the 9 local universities in Hong Kong.

Free Fruits to sweeten your exam days

To cheer up students during the exam period, free fruits are provided for IPO students to sweeten your hard-working days. IPO students are welcome to collect the fresh fruits and they are provided on first come first served basis.

Environmental Science, Policy and Management Student Wins the IPO Best Research Award 2014/15

The Interdisciplinary Programs Office (IPO) announced Mr. LEE Berto Paul Yok Long (third-year PhD student of Environmental Science, Policy and Management program) as the recipient of the IPO Best Research Award 2014/15 in the award ceremony held on 4 May 2015.

RMBI Student Volunteered at Cambodia - A Trip of Learning and Serving

Synix Sun, a Year 3 student majoring in Risk Management and Business Intelligence Program, visited Cambodia twice via HKUST Connect service trips: first as a participant in January last year, then as an organizing committee member in June. Serving the people in need is what she simply wants to do.

IPO Students @ Boao Forum for Asia 2015

Three IPO students were nominated to join 14 other HKUST schoolmates to volunteer at the Boao Forum for Asia 2015 “Asia’s New Future – Towards a Community of Common Destiny” at Hainan, China on 26-29 March 2015. Boao Forum for Asia is a high-end platform for dialogs on important and influential issues among leaders of national governments, industrial, business and academic sectors worldwide. Bor Hung, Simon and Karen shared with us what they met and learnt.
