Jeff CHEN, a graduate of T&M-DDP, has raised over HK$6 million for his startup Lumos with the next generation bicycle helmet in just one month

Jeff CHEN, a graduate of Dual Degree Program in Technology and Management (T&M-DDP), has raised over HK$6 million through crowdfunding online with a brand new design of bicycle helmet in just one month. Jeff met his partner during overseas study at Harvard University in 2013 and they have worked together for two years to develop the bicycle helmet. The real product is targeted to be available in April next year.

Signing Ceremony of Memorandum of Cooperation between The Division of Biomedical Engineering (BME) and Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center (SYSUCC)

Prof. I-ming Hsing, Head of The Division of Biomedical Engineering (BME), and Prof. Rui-hua XU, President of Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center (SYSUCC), signed a memorandum of cooperation aiming at establishing a long-term partnership on clinical and medical research cooperation, exchange of students and researchers, co-organization of academic conferences and other activities.

“Water for Life” - Inter-Varsity Entrepreneurship Challenge 2015 at Singapore (TEMG4950P)

18 students from Dual Degree Program in Technology & Management (T&M DDP) flew to Singapore to join students from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Renaissance Engineering Programme and University of California, Berkeley, to work on “Water for Life” startup businesses from 30 May to 8 June 2015. Students worked in cross-culture and multi-discipline teams to develop and present business plans to a panel of esteemed industry experts.

Charles Wong, Risk Management & Business Intelligence Program (RMBI) Year 2 student, won the Champion of the Hong Kong Outstanding Business Students Award 2015 on 24 May 2015 among 9 finalists each from the 9 local universities in Hong Kong.
