香港科技大學跨學科課程事務處(IPO) 透過各跨學科課程推動同學多角度思考及提升他們的解難能力,擴闊學習領域。IPO舉辦是次攝影比賽希望鼓勵中學同學多留意生活中的人與事物,從各主題中了解IPO課程特點,齊齊”Discover Without Boundaries”!
HKUST Interdisciplinary Programs Office (IPO) encourages students to break through traditional boundaries to think from multiple perspectives and enhance problem-solving skills through interdisciplinary programs. By organizing this photo contest, we urge students to explore details around them and get to know the features of IPO programs. Let’s discover without boundaries!

IPO Student Ambassador Appreciation Gathering 2019

IPO Student Ambassador (SA) Appreciation Gathering was held on 18 September, 2019. Prof. King L. CHOW, Director of IPO gave an appreciation speech and presented certificates to 21 recognized student ambassadors. Students then joined a nice dinner and shared the SA experience of the past year.

The biennial Global Research Forum on Sustainable Production and Consumption was hosted by HKUST on 26-29 June 2019 with the topic of “Transforming Production and Consumption: Bridging Sustainability Research with Policy and Practice”.

IPO Students won the Champion in the Asian Universities Alliance (AUA) Student Competition 2019

Three IPO students, John YAO, Angel LAI & Michael WANG, won the Champion of undergraduate category in the Asian Universities Alliance (AUA) Student Competition 2019 hosted by Nazarbayev University (NU) in Kazakhstan. With the theme “Good Governance in the 21st Century and its Challenges”, the team “Orange” presented innovative ideas of better governance on cross-boundary water resources management in Central Asia.

“Advisory & Grant Making for 4 Social Enterprises” - Corporate Project Sponsored by Philanthropy in Motion, IBM Global Business Services and HARMAN International

With the support of Philanthropy in Motion, IBM Global Business Services and HARMAN International,
2019 Spring term’s Corporate Project (TEMG4950C) challenged students to assist 4 social enterprises to develop an investor pitch. The project aims at providing students with hands-on experience in solving complex real business problems and polishing their advanced skills in team-based consulting, Enterprise Design Thinking, theory of change and social return on investment.

T&M-DDP High School Student Dinner 2019

Dual Degree Program in Technology & Management (T&M-DDP) High School Student Dinner was held on 6 June 2019 to gather around 30 prospective high school students and parents. Program directors, faulty advisors, alumni, staff and current students joined the event to mingle and share about program design, learning experience, opportunities and career prospects.
