2019 Summer International Technology & Management Business Plan Competition was held in Shenzhen from 30 June to 11 July to explore new business opportunities made possible by advancements in healthcare technology to improve life of people in China.

 

13 Dual Degree Program in Technology & Management (T&M-DDP) students formed mixed teams with students from University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland (HESSO) and Southern University of Science and Technology at Shenzhen, China to create a business plan on healthcare advancements in China within the 12-day competition.

 

Students visited Tencent, HARMAN, DJI Flagship Store, 3node Digital Factory, and startup incubator HAX to understand the latest technology development in healthcare, consumer product design and management as well as startup incubation. Under the guidance of professors and industry mentors, teams prepared their proposals and prototypes to present to judges including Mr. Ronald TAM, Wealth Management, Managing Director, UBS AG, Mr. Andy TSUI, Vice President & General Manager, Smart Audio Business Unit, HARMAN and Ms. Christina ZHANG, Senior Director, Corporate Strategy & Communication, DJI.
